About Us!

Hi, I’m Carolyn! In early 2010, I was working hard at a job that was slowly becoming less personally fulfilling, and trying to figure out what about my life I could change in order to attain my ultimate “career” goal – being a stay at home mom.  My husband (who, like a superhero, prefers to protect his anonymity and thus will be called J) and I started this blog to chronicle the changes we were making in our lives as we stood at the  precipice of moving from a dual-income household, to having a baby and living off of a single income (J’s, not mine! We’d have issues living in Southern California with what I made!) You can read more about what led to that decision here.

In July of 2010, I announced my decision to quit my job, and the following month we let the world know that we were already expecting! Our first child, Nathan, was born in February 2011.

So for the most part, we’re pretty boring! We watch movies, play on our computers, laugh, and eat. But somehow, even with a life that boring, we still manage to end up with some crazy stories So I invite you to spend some time on our blog, get to know us, and hear about all of our crazy antics and anecdotes as we go through our life and keep making changes!
